Querying is tough (I know you know!), and if I’m honest, it’s been sucking some of the joy out of my writing habit.
To balance out that drag, I’ve been trying to read books that can really restore my love of the written word.
For the past couple months, I’ve been finding that restoration in the pages of Ann Patchett.
I started with “Tom Lake,” because it happened to be available to borrow on Libby, and fell for both the story and Patchett’s writing at once.
I read “Truth and Beauty,” her memoir about Lucy Greely, next, and am now about halfway through “Commonwealth.”
Patchett fans, what should I read next?
